North Carolina

This past weekend Matthias and I along with Kyra, Sarah, Grace, and Amy from work went to North Carolina for a surprise baby shower. The mother-to-be is a former co-worker who abandoned us for the corporate world and reasonable housing prices. Booooo. We took advantage of our trip and stopped in at the North Carolina State Fair. We passed the time on our 5 hour drive playing Animal, Vegetable, Mineral. Here are some photos from the baby shower and the fair.

Weekend Update

I got fancy new white appliances this weekend. The appointment was set for 7:30 - 11:30 (not my choice) and wouldn't you know that they came at exactly 7:30. What a morning! The stove went in without a problem. Turns out that the water pipe for the dishwasher was welded on. They got the old one out and put the new one in but couldn't hook it up. Matthias figured something out at Home Depot so I avoided having to call a plumber and so far, it's working like a charm. Matthias and I then installed the oven hood ourselves.

Today we booked our flights to Germany and Ohio in December! Good times! He'll be there for a little over 2 weeks, I'll be there for a little over 1 week. We won't travel around too much this time; just spend time with his family and friends and do some minor site seeing. We're both looking forward to the German Christmas markets.

One last look at the old stuff...
